About the TCRA .

The TCRA Act No. 12 of 2003 created the Tanzania Communications Regulatory Authority (TCRA), an autonomous authority regulating the postal, broadcasting, and electronic communications sectors in the United Republic of Tanzania.
The Tanzania Broadcasting Commission and the Tanzania Communications Commission were combined.
The Communications and Technology Ministry is the TCRA’s principal supervisor.
It is noteworthy that geographical, political (national), and technological issues have had an impact on Tanzania’s Information, Communication, and Technology (ICT) sector reform.
According to the Tanzania Communications Regulations, Tanzania is one of the few African nations to liberalize the communications industry, using the Converged Licensing Framework (CLF) as a primary strategy.
