Ali Kiba is the eldest son in a family of four. his siblings consist of his brother Abdu Kiba who is also a musician, a sister, Zabibu Kiba and the youngest Brother, Abuu Kiba.
He began nurturing his musical talents while attending Upanga primary school, located in the bustling city of Dar es salaam which is the Commercial Capital City of the United Republic of Tanzania.
Ali Kiba, fascinated by music and dance since childhood, began his music career after his 12th exam in 2004. His debut song ’Maria’ show cased his talent and made him one of the most promising talents in Tanzania.
In 2005, he chose music over a soccer offer from the Ugandan team, focusing on singing and composing.
In 2008 Ali Kiba collaborated with other African musicians on the one 8 project since then the ward winning singer collaborated with various music heavy weights such as Patoranking, Sauti sol, Marioo, Nyanshinski among others.
Around 2011 Ali Kiba took a three years hiatus from the music industry and returned in 2014 with the release of ‘’Mwana’’ The song was well received by fans and made him win 5 a word at the 2015 Tanzania music Awards.
In May 2016, Ali Kiba signed to song music being the first east African be signed by the recording company. He left both song and rockstar 4000 in 2021 and started his own record label, Kings’ music which now houses different Tanzanian acts such as tammy Flavour, Vanillah, k2ga and Abdu Kiba
In November 2021, Ali Kiba released his third studios album titled only one king containing 16 songs including Utu, Niteke, Salute, Jealous, washa.
On March 10,2024, bongo flava star Ali Kiba launched his new radio station Crown FM 92.1 broad casting in Dar er salaam Zanziba, Tanga and Pwani.
